The Board of Governors of the Colegio Mayor Moncloa offers its students a generous program of both need and merit-based awards.

The criteria for these awards is primarily based on the student´s dedication to his studies, effective use of time, participation in different types of activities (cultural, courses, seminars, etc.), development of financial responsibilities, the promotion of solidarity, etc.

The students that attain academic excellence are involved in the activities listed above, and are prime examples of the standards that Moncloa instills upon its residents. The university´s objective is to foster fantastic students, with a great academic atmosphere, paying special attention to those who lack financial resources.

Awards for Outstanding Academic Performance

6 scholarships of 200 € / month distributed as follows: 3 for new college (middle school best-selectivity) / 3 for current college. A committee of the Board will determine the best records, resolve conflicts and ambiguities, and make suggestions on the distribution of scholarships for the coming academic year. Is also studying the possibility of some correction factors for the difficulty of certain races. Be part of the Commission 2 residents to give up the scholarship. The resolution will be sent before 10 September. Apply as a discount on the pension. Recipients may waive the same, or the Department to suspend the application in case of lack of use. Fellows have to submit a quarterly report of utilization.

Goal Partnership Grants

9 porter Fellowships 125 € / month. Discounts on the board in exchange for work in the College goal. All grantees have to submit a quarterly report of use of the grant.

Scholarships for needy families

8 grants relatives of 100 € / month (requires some collaborative work in the school library, help maintainer ...) for siblings, or families with exceptional economic situations. Be considered on a case by case basis by the Board. It will also assess the academic records and the use of College activities. All grantees have to submit a quarterly report of use of the grant.

The application period for these awards will take place from April 15th until September 10th. The final decisions will be made no later than the 15th of September and will be sent to the applicants. The president of the Board of Governors will communicate, in writing, to the recipient, detailing the specifics on the award earned. The financial aid will be directly applied to the cost of tuition to the university, according to the conditions set forth by the secretary of the Colegio Mayor.
